DIVE BALI’S EAST COAST

TULAMBEN

Go Down

OVERVIEW

A small fishing village, Tulamben became one of the most popular dive sites on the island in 1942, when the Liberty, a US Army Transport, was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine off the northeast coast of Bali. Located in the north eastern part of Bali we will pick you up from your hotel in south Bali and transfer you in one of our comfortable Busses to Tulamben. The scenic ride takes about 2.5 to 3 hours where you will travel along the eastern Bali coastline, passing rice field paddies, and stunning view points along the way.  The location and dive sites are good for beginners and experienced divers alike as the shipwreck lies only a few meters off shore and starts in shallow waters of only 5 m depth, the stern and propellor are intact and the deeper parts at the bow will be at around 30m depth. There are plenty of areas to explore, a few swim throughs and a stunning variety of marine life can be found on this easily accessible wreck dive for all levels of divers.
