Bali Hai Cruises Coral Reef Restoration Program with Mars, Inc.

We are excited to run this Coral Reef Restoration program with Mars, Inc. We started this project in 2017 with 100m2 and have now 700m2 (1.5 the size of our pontoon) restored in 2024. The reasons why we do it are to rebuild the damaged coral reef in Lembongan Bay, to increase the local fish population, to restore the beauty and function of the underwater environment, and to strengthen the coastline protection.

Mars board director Frank Mars and Kate Janetski, Marine Program Leader, of Mars Sustainable Solutions visited Lembongan Bay last week for an inspection of our project. They were satisfied with the growth and health of the coral reef that had been restored. We are proud of what we have accomplished together so far and will gladly continue this collaboration with Mars, Inc. and create a beautiful underwater garden in Nusa Lembongan Bay.
